Can I update the new white Xbox Elite controller wirelessly with my console?

Hi,

I am looking to get the new Xbox Elite controller that was announced recently (coming out in October). I understand it will not have Bluetooth support, but I am wondering if it will be able to be updated wirelessly without needing to plug it in to my console?

New white xbox elite controller

Heard there was a new xbox one elite controller that's in white coming in a week or so, I personally use an xbox one controller for pc gaming wirelessly since it has bluetooth. Wondering if the new white one will come with bluetooth? Don't wanna buy the
wireless thingy lol

New Xbox Elite 2 Controller (Windows 10)

The white Elite controller is not an Elite V2, just a minor revision with new color.

 

Since last year you are able to update your controllers wirelessly now.

 

Bluetooth is not used with Xbox One, only with computers and select smartphones.

You will be able to update it via the wireless radio in all newer controllers.

 

It's a great controller and as the other Ambassadors have said, you should have no problem!
