    Can I unlink my Microsoft account from my Xbox account?


    I recently had my account hacked. I was instructed to create a new account when the agent escalated my account. On this new account I was considering buying Minecraft so I could play while waiting for my account to get recovered. When I was pulling up the website I created an Xbox account so I could see the pricing because I couldn't remember how much it costed. After doing this I remembered that I was told not to make a Xbox account on this new Microsoft as it could make the process of recovering my account difficult. I was wondering is there was a way to remove the xbox account from my Microsoft account; as it is very important to me to get my old account back. If there is anything I can do about this I would love to know. Thanks in advance!

    It sounds like there's some kind of confusion between Skype accounts and Microsoft accounts. Sign in to Skype on the web with to unlink your accounts, and then you can re-launch Skype on Xbox One to link the Skype account you want to the Microsoft account
    that you use on your Xbox.

    I forgot I used my email from my brothers microsoft account, so when I went to link mine it connected to his account, I removed my email and created a new microsoft account for myself and when I tried to link it (I assumed since it was the same email it
    would have to follow my new microsoft account) but to no avail, now I'm screwed lol
