Can I take my console out of ASA and put it back later?

I have tried your solution and it only worked temporarily. Takeing out the battery's and putting them back in after a few minutes also works. However, after turning the console off and turning it on later I found that the problem came back

Did you know you can download your disc games instead of installing them directly from disc? All you need to do is insert the disc, when the game begins installing, cancel it. Find your game from the Xbox Store, it will show a price, but don't worry about that. If you've found the correct version of the game that matches that what's in the drive an 'install' will show instead of a 'Buy' option.

Selecting install will download the game from Xbox Live instead of the disc. You will still need the disc inserted to play of course, But you can remove the disc with this process and play something else.

This should work on most disc based games. Of course, install time may take longer depending on your download speed.

It should continue from where it left off though, just make sure to pause the download first, then take the disc out. That also happened to me and I hope that will work for you as well.

The only thing I can think of is the reason you added a new hard drive. Turn off the console and take the hard drive out then turn the console back on and then put the hard drive back in. Make sure it's in firmly.

Shut down the console completely then take out the hard drive. power the console back on then put the hard drive back in.
