Can I still use the Xbox 360 game-save after Exporting it to the Xbox One

I have an Xbox 360 and played tons of the original Diablo III on it, with various characters with several friends. All of these characters seem to be saved in the one game-save file.

I got an Xbox One when Titanfall came out and got the Diablo III Reaper of Souls game recently for it (with the knowledge that I could import my game-save to it from the Xbox 360).

Here's my question... Once I export or transfer my game-save from my Xbox 360 to the Xbox One, will I still be able to play the original game-save on the Xbox 360, so I can still play the characters I created to play with friends on Xbox 360? Or
am I hooped - Once transferred there is no going back?

The problem here is that a game-save contains all the characters you've created and I really only want to transfer one or two characters to the Xbox One to continue the game with the new content. And of course Blizzard dies not allow you to copy the game-save
file (so you can export one and leave the other alone).

Again, do you still have access to the original Xbox 360 game-save and game-play characters after transferring the file to Xbox One. I need to know now, before I do it. Otherwise I may choose to do this whole thing very differently. Thanks.

Unable to export my Xbox 360 State of Decay save game to the Xbox One

I'm having slight trouble involved with the exporting of my current SoD saves from the 360 to the retail YOSE version on the Xbox One. My intention is to continue on from where I left off on the 360 to update with my recent purchase of the YOSE with the
use of my characters from the previous save.

The problem itself consists of a statement from the SoD Menu stating that: "Failed to export save games to cloud. Please try again"

I tried narrowing down all known possibilities by:

1. Updating my Xbox Live to Gold status to make use of the cloud functionality

2. Enabling the use of the cloud storage device after some 3 hours worth of delay

3. Trying this again from the SoD menu

4. Manually uploading the save to the cloud only to have it not recognized by the Xbox One

5. Deleting the saves on both the cloud server as an attempt to bypass after multiple failures of uploading via the SoD menu

The problem itself seems so simple yet I just can't seem to figure out exactly whats causing it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

 

transfer offline xbox 360 profiles to xbox one for use with backwards compatible games ?

So I got myself the original model xbox one for my birthday last year after christmas, anyway I still got my old xbox 360 with profiles loaded with saved data, mine in particular which has a save profile for halo reach that is up to captain rank, is it possible
to transfer offline xbox 360 games to my xbox one to use with xbox 360 games? Thanks

 

You could always back it up to an external drive before the export, delete the exported 360 save after export, and then copy the original back and play as if you never did it.

 

The Xbox doesn't allow you to COPY this gamesave file (only move itt - so only one copy exists in one place or another.. Certain games are like that, I'm not sure why. So making a backup is not really an option. But I'm glad it all worked for Iacurra.

 

Anyone else got further information to weigh in?
