Can I still get into my old account that I lost the email?

I wanted to know if I can still gain access to my old xbox account. My friend put a passcode on it and forgot what it was, then I asked my brother if he can help and he just removed my account off that xbox 360. I tried logging back into it but i couldn’t remember the email but I could remember the password. I made that account back in 2013 and fully lost it in 2017 or 2018. I don’t know if I could get it back, but if I can that would be great.

Hi Alex!

For us to start an account recovery, it's required that we know exactly the correct email address of the account. Without it, we cannot start the account recovery and if we just try to guess it, we may not recover the correct account.

You may try to review your emails or email history if you could find traces of your old email address.

You could try to recover your account as well by entering your gamertag or phone number that might have been linked to your old account through this link https://account.live.com/username/recover

Hey Lucas, thanks for the answer.

Excuse my late response, had some trouble getting THIS account back after trying some fishy stuff to get to my old one.

That's tragic. Means I lost all of my progress on my account.

I understand that I can't recover my old account now. I am lucky that I "only lost" an account to a game, could've easily lost much more to be frank.

So I can create a new Microsoft account with my old email I had been using before, since it doesn't matter anymore?

I suppose I also can't ask for my old Minecraft username if I were to buy a new account, let alone get it for free?

(FYI, I have since regained access to my mail inbox)

In the top right corner of my Xbox it shows an old email I don't want on there and yes I changed the billing and Microsoft email but I can seem to get rid of that old one appearing but when I sign in to my Microsoft account it's still the old email so that
might be the problem anyone know how to change the sign in email for Microsoft accounts?

I have a similar issue myself. I have contacted support 5 times and provided gamertag, parent gamertag, email, parent email, console id, console serial number, ip address plus the old password for the account

Still, they were not able to recover the parent account so I can accept the damn rules.
