Can I somehow recover my decade old account's email address?

However, to link my old email address to my hotmail account is not possible as i can only link other hotmail email addresses to my hotmail account.

I tried to recover my old email address and was informed by the email address provider that it was not only deactivated but also terminated and not recoverable as i havent used it in 10+ years.

Is there any other way to help change my old xbox live email address? Perhaps microsoft could change it manually? Given that i can verify that it is my account via Identification card, phone number or facebook as i use the same email address there as i do on my xboxlive account.

Sorry to hear you're having problems recovering an account. In order to recover an account, you need to know the old email address. Your first step should be making sure you can access that old email address, then follow the support

page.

I'm not sure if theres a way to recover an account if you can not validate through the old one. This would be a security issue.

If you have a Skype username or phone number associated with the same account then you can recover it using that but otherwise youd have to find out the email somehow. Its not possible to recover an account without it and support can't tell you what the email is.
