    Hi, i recently upgraded my pc from a 2080 to a 3080 ti, im not very tech savvy but i know at least how to remove and replace a gpu. I was wondering while removing my 2080 if i could just move it to one of the lower slots instead of just having it collect dust. So basically im just wondering if can run both my 2080 and 3080ti at the same time or at least have it in the same system?

    my specs are NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080ti, Intel core i9 12900k, 32gb ddr4 ram, 1tb m.2, 1000w psu, and an aio along with some more fan cooling.

    You've got a really great system there, you don't need the RTX 2080 and it can't be used with the 3080ti Anyway. so, I would just sell it and use the monies for some other purpose, like some great looking games for your pretty beastly PC.

    You can switch between GPUs , you can do this via Windows settings > system > display > graphics
    And select which graphics card do you want to use for specific games and apps

    Or you can use your Nvidia graphics interface

    Nope, that's not possible.
    You can switch between GPUs but not use both at the same time.

    It is just your options ate limited

    Most.cards already have .multiple gpus on card that it makes sli irrelevant

    You can get a sli cable but as mentioned you are limiting yourself to older games or very limited selection

    Sli is no longer supported as gpu eat more power then most desktops have.now
