can i retrieve my old account ?

Hello RoNinja5, I'm so sorry to say but in order to access your Xbox Live account and other Microsoft services, you need to know the email address and password you used to set up your Microsoft account. Xbox Support can’t provide this information, even if you know your gamertag.

a. Recover using your Alternate phone number or email address:

1. All you need to do is to go to https://account.live.com

2. Click on Sign in

3. Choose sign in options

4. Choose Forgot my username from there you will be ask for alternate email or phone number that you use with that account, if you enter it correctly then you will be able to see the right email for your account.

If none of these methods work you'll have to remember your Microsoft account.

You can also contact our
Phone Support for account recovery. Forgetting the e-mail makes account recovery a little difficult, I would make sure to have as much information that you used to set up the account as you can.

But even if i buy new one, my main reason is to retrieve my old nickname tied to previous account. I can buy new copy, but all I need is my nickname

Is there any chance I can retrieve my old ones ever again?
