Can I retrieve a game save which has been overwritten?

Hello,

My son has accidentally overwritten our Lego Marvel Super Heroes game save. I would like to revert back to the previous game save so that we don't lose all of our progress.

The Xbox was connected at the time and it looks as if the new 0% save has synced to the cloud (I tried deleting local save data and the 0% save was pulled down).

Please could somebody advise if there is any way to get the previous save back?

I've read a few similar posts from around a year ago which don't sound good, however I am living in hope that there is some new way of retrieving the overwritten save. I can't get away from the thought that it must exist somewhere (console or cloud) and
must somehow be accessible!

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Game save is gone by picking "new game" option (Xbox one)

I don't believe once the save has been overwritten there is any way to retrieve it from past days.

Gears of war3 - saved data deleted

Only if your save file was backed up can you retrieve it or restore it.

If there was no backup (which you would have had to make manually, so there usually is not) unfortunately there is no way to access it now if it has been deleted.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand your save data has been erased for the game Minecraft. Unfortunately, with PC if the file has been overwritten in the cloud, there is no way of retrieving the old save. You may want to reach out to
Mojang support to see if there is a way to recover it.

Hello Alban,

Unfortunately, your save data is now overwritten by the backup file you chose. At this point, there is no way to retrieve that data after it has been overwritten through Xbox. You may want to contact Forza forums to see if the developers have any extra options
for you :

Unfortunately it's not possible to retrieve lost data, once it has been overwritten on the cloud, the old data is completely lost.
