Yes, you can request a refund for a special edition of the game if it also doesn't work as it did before, even after you've previously refunded the same game in its standard edition. Just keep in mind the requirements that must be met for refunds, which basically include that it hasn't been more than 14 days since your purchase and that you haven't played it for 2 or more hours.

Duplicate purchases are subject to the conditions of refund. However, I don't know if the two different versions are considered as a duplicate purchase. You can try to request a refund via the link on the page

The refund limit is there for a reason.

There are plenty of safeguards you can use to prevent your child making purchases without your permission.Not sure how they could buy the same game 6 times as once you buy a game you can't buy it again unless you refunded it before or bought the same game on 6 different accounts.
