    Can I Replace a Lost Disc


    Hello everyone.

    This may be a stupid question, but I am an 'Older' gamer, so my apologies.

    I have lost my original disc for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (don't ask me how!)

    I have completed the game, but wish to participate in the crossover quests with AC: Valhalla.

    If I buy a replacement disc, will my console see it as a completely new game and make me start over, or will it integrate with all my saved data and just carry on from where I last left off

    All help greatly appreciated.

    Yes. Game saves are separate from game data. So if you bought a new disc or bought the game digitally, you'll pick up where you left off.

    Thanks so much for your reply, it's been most helpful.

    One thing further.though (again, excuse my ignorance) but do I have to buy the same edition of the game (I had the gold edition with season pass) or can I just buy the standard edition now that all DLC's from season pass etc have been installed?

    Your progress is not written on the disc. Replacing the disc, or buying the game digitally has no effect on the save-file. The save-file is bound to your gamertag on the hard-drive. No need to worry about the save-file going lost when you replace the disc

    I would suggest doing what Light759 suggested and check the bottom of the disc for damage. If the disc is damaged you can go through the disc replacement program to get the disc replaced. See the link below for more info.
