Can I remove My Xbox profile from my Microsoft account, without deleting my Microsoft account?

An Xbox profile and a Microsoft account are essentially the same thing now. So there's no way to delete an Xbox profile without just completely deleting the Microsoft account.

Might anyone know how it is possible to remove (Detatch) my Xbox 360 Live account (which was never paid for) from my microsoft account? Oh, and I am prevented and cannot choose to click or open the green boxes labeled "account" or "privacy" from my xbox

Thanks for the reply. I dont want to transfer any data from the account, i just want to remove my information from it so that i can make my own. Unfortunately, when i removed my email from the Microsoft account it still remained linked somehow. When i set up a new xbox account and went to my Microsoft profile, i was on the same account as my cousin (same Microsoft, different username) even though my email has already been removed. Can I continue to use these two xbox accounts separately while theyre on the same Microsoft account? I don’t want to accidentally delete my cousin’s purchases or have problems with my account down the road.

Deleting or removing an Xbox Account is not possible. Your Xbox Account is actually your Microsoft Account. They're merged since 2008. They cannot be separated or spilt in any way.
