Can I reinstate my old Xbox Live gamertag (from Xbox 360) with my new Series X account?

Each 360 account can be associated with a Live account.

Currently I have:

old 360 account -> associated with my Live account but with the old gamertag

new 360 account -> associated with my Live account but with the new gamertag

The new account got created when I downloaded my profile using my microsoft sign in. The old account was associated with the same microsoft sign in but it didn't recognize my gamertag change. Now it won't let me sign in to live because it asks for my microsoft
sign in details. I'm guessing the sign in fails because it's trying to find the microsoft account associated with the old gamertag.

I either need to somehow transfer my saves over to the new 360 account so I can upload them to the cloud, or I need someway for my Xbox to realize that my gamertag changed on the old account so I can sign into live again with that account.

I'm not saying that (maybe my english it's not the best). I have and old GFWL account with the gamertag "SrTommy". Now I have a new X-Box Live account with the gamertag "". I would like to delete my old GFWL account so I can change my new gamertag
to my old one.

On my new xbox I've redeemed my old account but I've changed the gamertag, I'm wanting to transfer games ext from my old xbox to the new one but the data is owned by my old gamertag can I still transfer from the old gamertag to my new one ??

The last time I used my old account was on my xbox one, and the last thing I did was to transfer my game's to my new xbox series x.

When I got my xbox series x,

The first thing I did was to sign in but what appeared was the new gamertag.

I didn't change my gamertag myself, it just appeared,

My gamertag plus #701 on the end of it.

After I transferred my game's I restored to factory settings my xbox one, then sold it.

I have never received any enforcement action at any time.

I'm just puzzled as to how I have this new account.

I must say though, I can't remember the last time I physically signed in because I was permanently signed in, I've always just turned on my xbox and my gamertag/avatar appeared on screen.

But when I signed in to my new xbox series x I was prompted to choose a new picture for my gamertag.

So obviously when I tried to play any of my games they would start at the very beginning.

All progress lost.

I've tried to delete my account and start again but when I try, it just goes to this new account.

I can only assume that I forgot my password for my old account and created a new one, and I must have created a new account by accident.

I can't think of anything else that may help you to help me.
