The VC can be used across the 2 different gens so that isnt a problem. What you cant do is use them between different platforms.

As for the refund, it depends if you meet the requirements. Mainly being its less than 14 days and hasnt had a lot of playtime.

The topic is "free versions of next-gen games when buying last-gen" so we haven't veered anywhere. =) You said you're sick of buying the same product twice...

... if the products were the same nobody would have bought next-gen consoles. They're not the same. There are development/manufacturing/marketing costs for games on all platforms. Next-gen versions are better and more expensive at retail than last-gen.

If you buy PC games you don't get Mac and console versions free. If you buy a Ford Fiesta you don't get the next Porsche 911 free - cos it's a car and you already own a car. Heh ha.

As I said in my first post in this thread. These offers were made during the next-gen launch period and the months following for those consumers upgrading when the multiplat games were launching around the same time as the new hardware.

Any offers beyond that are made at the developers/publishers discretion and shouldn't be expected all the time... just appreciated when they're made at all. They don't have to do the discount/freebies. But it's nice when they do. {=)

I wouldn't see the point... wouldn't you have to start your game all over again if you changed consoles? Personally if I were going to buy an xbox One I'd just wait for the One version. Honestly, I'm not buying any current gen games for my current gen consoles
if they have a next gen version. I'll just wait until I get the next gen and buy that version (though it's not really like there is any game for either next gen console coming up this year that look all that enticing to me to tell the truth. The only ones
that might sell me on finally buying a next gen console all come out next year, the most likely one being Witcher 3 if Fallout 4 doesn't come out first <- not expecting that at all though seeing as we still only are hearing vague rumors).

I wouldn't be able to wait 8 months to play this game. If I were you I would buy it for 360. Then buy the next gen version for $10 trade in/trade up...and hold in to it until you buy your one.
