Can I play Xbox Live Local Co-op with one GamePass Ultimate membership?

When you mean local co-op, do you mean on the same console?

I have the same situation where I can pay for Ultimate and I can play Minecraft in spit-screen with daughter. That works fine.

Yeah so if we use Minecraft as an example.

You can play Minecraft local split-screen multiplayer, in order to do this the world your in has to be Offline.

I'm wanting to know if you could create a world that allows 'Multiplayer' could you still then go split-screen on the same console together but then someone online could also join you?

I would say Realm Royale it's not a local co-op but its fun to play. Astroneer has co-op online it's in Game Pass. There's Riverbond it has local live co-op.

offline multi-player games (split screen or shared screen, known as couch co-op) don't need a monthly subscription.

if you browse the Xbox Store you can filter the results for Local Multiplayer or Local Co-Op

open the store on Xbox (press the Xbox button)

select the Store icon (shopping bag with 4 squares)

select Browse Games

select All Games

then select Number of players from the 5 filter categories along the top.

select Local Multiplayer or Local Co-Op

many games have discounts for Live Gold/Gamepass subscribers, so if you are going to buy a few games and they have these discounts, it could be worth getting 1 month of Live Gold or Gamepass (or 1 month of Ultimate Gamepass if you want the discount for both)
then turning off recurring billing (go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and select Turn Off Recurring Billing next to the subscription).

you will need to set the Xbox as the Home Xbox for the account that purchases the games so that everyone who uses the Xbox can play them on their own accounts (everyone should their own account to keep game progress separate)

if i remember correctly i think its two player local co-op, played co-op over Xbox Live and it was really smooth so canne imagine local being any different.
