    Im not able to copy pictures to my xbox one hard drive.

    Hey there zsuri007,

    It's not possible to copy photos from an External Hard Drive or USB drive to the console, however you can view these files from an external device, or through OneDrive if you prefer!

    further to this, I had a brain wave. Perhaps the USB stick that got with the game was the answer....I copied the photos file from my xbox and put it in my laptop...no files found Can I play WAV files from an external USB drive? :(

    The small print at the bottom of the page that I linked for you mentions:

    "USB flash drive is not a hard drive."

    Xbox's connection with an external drive is read-only. You can only read files that are already on the drive after connecting. You can't save game files or anything else on the Xbox main drive onto an external hard drive.

    Hi.powersupply broke on xbox one.can i take out harddrive and copy games directly to series x using the SATA usb cable?

    thank you..was hoping to skip the big downloads.

    But also if i use this drive as a usb input wont i be able to play the games directly from this drive if its in as an usb as you can also download games to an external drive
