Can I play non-home Xbox series S offline?

I have an Xbox series X that my kids and I use at home and I have it configured as my home Xbox. I recently bought a series S to use while travelling. I don't want to set up the series S as my home console since I only use it when travelling. I travel once every month or two and don't always have an internet connection. Since you can only switch home Xboxes five time a year, it makes this impractical. Given the above, is there a way to play games offline on the series S or did I waste my money buying it?

What would be the better solution then

Set the series s as your home console .And the kids use your profile online while you are away

And.no there is no way around the home console 5x is generous vs 3x on PlayStation

Xbox one s or series s ?

If xbox one s then no it has to run thru xcloud as the hardware isn't powerful enough meaning non subscriber accounts can't use it

Series s can run it natively thru home share

signing in on your non home xbox then set yourself as appear offline. my lids can then sign in and play any games they want on my non home xbox as long as i stay sogned on.

It does but only on one console

The home console has to have 2 profiles

The subscriber can use both home series s and the xbox one console

But the 2nd account.can only be played on the series s or lose all benefits of the home console

Cloud play is only allowed on the subscriber account regardless of home console

Basically only the subscriber can roam

No console works that way

You at going to have to assign the xbox one s as your home console and your series s as your roaming console meaning you are going to havr to sign in online on your accounr or the xbox series s anytime you want to use your games.

While the xbox one s can use any game offline or online on their profiles and yes they need to be on their profiles.
