Can I play F1 23 Offline/Career Mode without Gold/Gamepass on Xbox One?

Good day.

I was thinking of buying the F1 23 from the Microsoft store right now but couldn't decide whether or not to go through with the purchase or not (planning to buy it on Xbox One). I couldn't decide because I'm unsure whether or not the game could still be played locally (offline and just against AIs) even without current gold/gamepass memberships. I do not plan to play multiplayer online at least for now so just being able to play the career mode and local games are enough for me.

I was hoping someone could answer my question above. Thank you.

In the game capabilities, it does say that you can play single player. So that would confirm that you do not need Game Pass Core (New name for Gold) to play the game.

Totally agree about the career mode needing a bit of work, don't honestly know how they can do it though - for me F1 has the best career mode.

gamepass games require check in to authenticate. purchased games and some gold games can be played with the console set to offline mode.

I was a huge auto cross fan in F1. and will be looking forward to that mode. my only concern is with the loss of the career LB in F3 I have to wonder if the auto cross mode will be just another pointless credit making practice session much like the entire
F3 career became. IMO without a leaderboard the return of auto cross will be pointless.....
