It actually seem to be the disc im trying to play if i put another dvd in it works fine which is strange iv tried several discs and they all work apart from this one and if i put that disc in my pc it works fine but it used to work on my xbox one x before i got my series x its not the disc as it works on my pc and actual old dvd player

Its a dvd-r with mp4 files on it but ive burnt them to the disc

Not 100% sure about this, but I don't think it will not play DVD-R discs that have just raw video files on them. To play videos, you may need to create an actual DVD mastered disc. The kind of disc that has a main menu and play buttons when you start the
disc - think of how purchased DVD Movie discs work.

The big problem with converting a bunch of MP4's to true DVD master is that DVD mastered discs are not HD, so you'll massively degrade the picture quality.

It could also be the discs. While DVD-R is pretty popular, DVD+R discs are also available. I doubt this makes much of a difference though.

The best way to play video content on your Xbox One is via a USB Flash drive. Not only will this 'just work', you save wear and tear on your console's optical drive.

The Xbox series X will not read the MW2 disc, I have returned it and tried 3 separate copies of the MW2 disc, the console will play other games/discs and read dvds/blue rays as well. But will not read any MW2 disc I insert into the console. The disc will read on my Xbox one. I installed it there and network transferred all the data to the series X and upgraded all the data that was transferred but the console refuses to read the MW2 disc.
