    Can I login to my friends Xbox account and buy Xbox game pass for him?


    I have a friend who live in china just bought a xbox series s, and he has changed the store to US , and we are trying to play a free game together, and for some reason every time he open the game it show “choice a plant” which show you need to buy xbox live or game pass, and the same happens when he thy to join my party. So can I just login to his account and buy a xbox game pass for him?

    No. For one thing, sharing account information violates the terms of service so you would be putting you and your friend at risk for being banned. Trying to bypass region restrictions also violates the terms of service, so if your friend is trying to change his region to the US to access things that are not available to him in his own region, he could get banned.

    We have format the console by useing usb dive and now there are no more region lock on the Xbox . And this is not the first time I do is . The only thing that I want know is with out the risk for been banned is it possible to login to His account and buy game pass for him. (And I don’t know why he need xbox live to play a free game ,and join party)???

    No, there is no way to do what you're wanting to do without violating the terms of service.

    Thanks for your speedy response! I am trying to share my Game Pass account on my home PC. So I have XBOX app on my Windows 11 PC. I would like my son to login to the app with his XBOX account.

    So this means that I can share the games on the console with him but I can't share them on the PC with him?

    A friend I play with has the exact same issue, it is definitely his profile. if we login as him on my xbox the same thing happens. Similarly if I login to his xbox it works.

    Can this be looked at by microsoft?
