for a while a could not recover my gamer tag and started a new profile is there any way I can link the 2 accounts tia.

Linking an Old Profile to an Xbox Live account

I have a profile on my brother's but I want to link it to my pre-existing Xbox live account. How can i link the two and if I can't , how can I move that profile to my own Xbox?

How can I sell my xbox one account safely?

I have it linked to my main email, which also is linked to my bank account and other important stuff. I will be changing the email for the non-xbox related stuff, but can that some how still cause problems? Or would it be easier to just change my xbox accounts email to something separate so it isn't also connected to my important stuff.

I am planning on selling my xbox one, with everything including the account since I have no use for it anymore. I am selling it though offerup, or those meet up apps. I'm just a bit worried they might have access to something like my credit card somehow, or my cousins account since I am able to log into his account through the console.

Yea I can confirm the two accounts are linked. I signed into my EA account and saw in my account profile that my Xbox account is linked. My email is also verified.

Are you referring to linking two different Microsoft accounts? If so, then the answer is no, it's not possible to link two separate Microsoft accounts. It's only possible to add an email address as an alias to one of the two accounts if that email is not linked to any Microsoft account, or if it has never been linked to any Microsoft account before.

If you recently purchased an item with the wrong Microsoft account, I recommend requesting a refund using the following link and then purchasing the same item with the correct Microsoft account:

Please note that for the refund to be accepted, it must not have been more than 14 days since the purchase was made, and the item should not have been played or used for more than 2 hours.

I'm afraid there is not way to link or merge two (or more) Xbox Live Accounts in to 1 account.

You will have to get access to that original Microsoft Account to get access to that Xbox Live Account, maybe the steps or links on this page will be able to regain access to that MS account:

That link will have all options on how to try and get access again to the account up to contacting Xbox Support.
