Can i install gta iv: the ballad of gay tony as an addon for my og copy of gta iv

Hello. So I own an Xbox Series X and I got the physical copy of the xbox 360 version of GTA IV for it. I like it but I want to expand it a little. So when I went to the Microsoft Store in the Xbox I saw two addons for gta iv. tlad and tbogt. I wanted to get tbogt only. I was worried though a bit. If I get this addon, would it be installed inside the game or would it be its own game like gta: eflc?

You can download and play The Ballad of Gay Tony on its own. No, the Episodes From Liberty City are completely separate standalone games.

What Smwutches said is correct. If you do not yet own GTA IV and purchase it, on your Xbox One console the Ballad of Gay Tony DLC should then show under My Games & Apps>GTA IV>Manage Content>Ready to Install.

I bought GTA IV : Ballad of Gay Tony for 19.99 thinking i could play it without the full game. Is there any way to get a refund on my 19.99 purchase? Please help.

In order to use this game addon, you would start GTA IV main game like normal and once you get into the game, I believe to get into the menu and load a "new game" when you load a new game, it will ask if you want to play the original game or the ballad of
gay tony.

I'm having the same problem too but with the Undead Nightmare Collection standalone DLC (Doesn't require main game similar to GTA IV The Lost & Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony)
