Hey GabeKent1, you can buy the battle pass using your balance on your account, but not directly. Since the battle pass you can only purchase in game. You can purchase the amount of V-bucks you needed to purchase the battle pass in game (Vbucks 950 costs the battle pass) and then, purchase them with the V-bucks you bought. But You cannot purchase the V-bucks as gift. :/

Also, transferring money from one Microsoft Account to another is not allowed.

So, in your case, you cannot purchase the battle pass for your friend using your wallet's balance, only for you, if that was the case. :/
