    Can i get the account back or change the email?


    A few years ago my xbox account got hacked because i was being gullible and gave someone a code to enter my account and now they changed the email and password, is there anyway i could prove that the account was mine and get it back? i had games that i spent a bunch of money on (including in game purchases) and it also has memories i just wanna get it back

    Hello again, since you don't remember the email from the account that owns your Game Pass, you should try to remember what the account is or follow the steps below to see if you can find the email you used for the account.

    Xbox Support can’t provide this information, even if you know your gamertag.

    a. Recover using your Alternate phone number or email address:

    1. All you need to do is to go to https://account.live.com

    2. Click on Sign in

    3. Choose sign in options

    4. Choose Forgot my username from there you will be ask for alternate email or phone number that you use with that account, if you enter it correctly then you will be able to see the right email for your account.

    Hello again,you can try to contact Xbox Customer Service and request an ATO (Account Takeover), this is because this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access there is some data and procedures that Xbox Support has.

    However the ATO is a similar procedure to the online form, but done by a Microsoft agent, it will need as much information as possible for you to do the procedure.

    Hello Twxpz, you mention that the hack happened a few years ago, you can try to recover the account by account recovery form, but geralemte when this thing happens you have to try to recover your account when it was hacked.
