Can I get my main account back if I deleted it by accident and I it have the same password...

I have two accounts with identical email addresses and passwords, one of which I use for my Xbox and the other of which I created accidentally, but when I attempt to log into my primary account, it logs into the accidental account, and I'm not sure what to do.

There has to be some sort of slight difference in the emails. Even if its just a very minor difference.

Its not possible to have two different Microsoft/Xbox accounts under the same exact email address.

How else would it know what account to log you into if it allowed you to have two accounts under the same email? It just wouldn't.

If I delete my Usertag name out out of my son's main account and then open up my new account; can I get/request that specific name back or is that considered the same as a transfer?

How did you delete your account?

When trying to login with it at https://outlook.com, what does it show?

Showed that the account does not exist?

Unfortunately, once the account is removed, it is not possible to recover games, DLCs, files and emails. Deletion is permanent. Even if you create the account again (if the servers allow it), your information will not be recovered, as the domain is the same, but the account is different, as it generates another PUID.

Now, if you proceeded and asked for the password, the account was not deleted, you can try to reset the password with the options you registered yourself to prove your identity, as well as alternative email, phone number, authenticator application, etc.

If you don't have access to any security option on the account you registered, you can use the ACSR form: https://aka.ms/ACSR.

You will have to prove as much information as you remember and wait. Validation can take 24 to 72 business hours.
