    Can I get a refund on a Minecraft marketplace purchase


    To try to keep this concise, a young family member was using my account on Xbox and decided to make 2 purchases in the ingame marketplace for Minecraft. I was wondering if there was a way to ge a refund on on the purchases as I was not only unaware of them at the time of purchases and they were unauthorized. In total It was a pretty hefty sum of minecoins and would appreciate if a refund is available.

    The sum was about 1,000 minecoins spent on 2 purchases, one purchase consisting of a world and another of skins.

    As it was an ingame purchase I don’t believe there’s ever a confirmation email sent of said purchase and so it is hard to make an official refund without the confirmation/ order number.

    Xbox support will offer refunds on Marketplace purchases (not just Minecraft) on a case-by-case basis.

    In the case of the Minecraft refunds. They are only offering that refund to people who do not have a HDTV, who purchased Minecraft before the 11th of May. That was the date they changed the game's description on Xbox Live. Give support a call.

    If you bought it through Marketplace then they must be a Marketplace partner. You might need to send feedback to Mojang directly by going here: https://support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/game-t... and click "Get help with Minecraft on different devices" and click "Submit a request".

    However, there's no way to reverse minecoins once you purchased it on Marketplace thus, you can process a refund by going to xbox.com/refunds for the minecoins you bought and if it's not listed, you can use the refund form here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/request-a-... to manually request a refund.

    I found the problem. On the Microsoft Store, it was for Xbox One, not Bedrock edition. On the Minecraft Marketplace, it says I need to purchase it again. However, I still cant refund it :(

    As stated in the marketplace, there are no refunds. Once you confirm the purchase there is no way to go back. You can try calling support, but there is no guarantee you will get a refund.
