Can I download Forza Horizon 2 (FH2) even if owned the game through games with gold?

Hello All,

As you saw from the title, I got the game through gold at August 2018. Unfortunate, I removed the game after 2 years.

I wanted to reinstall the game and somehow, I cannot see the game under "Ready to Install". I searched the game at the store via laptop, and I was given a prompt to install on device. As a result, the game isn't addded to my queue.

I first taught the issue was in my end and when I downloaded another game through gold (Sleeping Dogs™ Definitive Edition) via laptop, I can see the game in my queue.

I cannot download FH2 via laptop, is there a way to fix this bug?

Keep in kind you do need an active Gold subscription to continue to play it for free.

Is it possible the OP's issue is because FH2 is well beyond it's EOL and is no longer available for digital purchase or download (unless you previously purchased it)? Not sure how it works with Games with Gold but, presumably, the player doesn't, technically, own the game, therefore is at risk if the game is removed from the Store etc?

I am speculating of course as I don't know the ins and outs of Gold

No. As long as you purchase the game or claim it while it's Games with Gold, it's tied to your account so you can redownload it later even if it's been removed.

i own the game so can download it still, my son had it via GwG and he still has the option to download under the GwG library.
