hello, i want a microphone for my xbox for a party but i can only use my pc for it and my pc is on my attic, (yes my attic is not a normal attic) and i dont get it down the stairs or lay a cable to the living room, and now in my head think can i use my usb webcam with a microphone,

can i connect it to the xbox one

and my xbox dont have a 3,5 headphone or a microphone jack before you say use that.

Chatting can be done with a headset. If you wish to use your PC for broadcasting, I suggest your being your Xbox to it, much less hassle

On XBOX you can connect: 4 Smartphones or 2 USB-Mics + 2 Headsets or 2 USB-Mics + 2 SingStar-Mics

Any USB microphone will do the job, if you want a budget solution I would recommend searching on amazon for any USB generic microphone for rock band, guitar hero, or let's sing.

The Xbox One does not support USB microphones. Your best bet is to use a headset for Xbox One, and if you still want to use the USB microphone, connect that to your computer.

Okay, I just discovered an issue:

The Xbox Stereo Headset's microphone does NOT work when connected via a USB hub, even if it's the only device attached to the USB hub. The microphone is detected, but it does not detect any sound in the volume meter.

As soon as I plug my Xbox One controller directly into the Surface Pro 2, the microphone immediately detects sound.
