    I don't know if you can change the capitalization through the name change process. There's only one way to find out. But I do believe spaces matter. So you should be able to do so in theory.

    You can change your Gamer Tag as much as you like but keep in mind that it costs $9.99 each time.

    Basically what you would have to do is change your GT twice. First change it to something else to free up what you have now. Then change it a second time to re-claim the GT using your preferred spacing an capitalization.

    Deleting the MS account will not free up the GT so I would avoid doing that.
