Can I change the birthday associated with an account?

It appears that NBA2K won't allow someone whose Xbox account is set below age 18 to play online (if that's not true, please let me know!). Accordingly, I'm hoping to change my child's account to show him a couple of years older so that he can play 2K online. If it doesn't work, though, I'd like to be able to change it back. Is that possible?

Side note, child security settings are so poorly set up on XBox (and this particular issue with 2K is particularly dumb). You shouldn't have to change to an artificial birthday to give your kid access to something that you are comfortable giving them access to. Have never fought with child controls as much as I do with Xbox.

To verify, a child account can't change their birthday, but an adult account CAN change their birthday if they so wish. I CAN change the birthday that's associated with my account, I CAN'T change the birthday associated with my daughter's child account.

If this is a child account there will be no option to change the birthdate. If I may ask, what is the exact error that you’re getting with NBA 2k?

Once a birthday is set on the gamertag it cannot be changed. It will have to age normally and the parent account cannot be removed until he reaches 18.

Perhaps the reason you cannot change the email address associated with the account is because the birth dates do not match.

Go to the email address which is associated with ur account. go to the email settings and check ur birthday there. by default the birth date on u XBL account will be the one on the email although u r given an option to change it while creating the XBL account.
