Can I change my Minecraft version to an older one in Xbox one?( I have the newest one)

I understand you want to change the version of your Minecraft game.

If you are talking about downgrading the update of your Minecraft, this is actually not possible because there is no function on the console to do that unfortunately. If your Minecraft game is already updated, you can no longer choose to change the update or downgrade it.

If you are talking about Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. No, it's not possible to downgrade to that version. Your only option would be to purchase the disc version of that game.

It is the newest version(Better together one). Not the xbox one edition. I have the one saying "Minecraft".

Did you get the edition simply titled Minecraft (which is the most updated and current supported edition known as the "Bedrock Edition" which is also the same Windows 10 game) or the one called Minecraft Xbox One Edition. If you bought the Bedrock (which
again is the newest version of Minecraft) then nothing at all will have transferred because this version added the whole community store thing. If its the older "Xbox One" version of the game then I don't believe anything would have transferred either, this
version was stopped being supported and thus while world save transfers are still possible, content licenses are not but were a long time ago.

It boils down to the developer licenses and which game you bought. The newer game supports a few skin and texture purchases from the Microsoft Store while the older Xbox One version is simply outdated.

You'll need to either buy it or re-up Gamepass because its basically like a game rental/streaming service. You pay for the subscription and you get to download and play ALL the games until it expires, when it does you'll need to re-up it or buy the game
you wanted. Since the newest version of Minecraft is on Gamepass you'll probably need to buy it if you don't want Gamepass again.

The version just called "Minecraft" is probably the one you want, do not buy the version called "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" unless that was the version you were playing. The one with "Xbox One Edition" in the title is the
older version, the one just called Minecraft is the Windows 10/Bedrock version that is updated frequently.
