When did you last successfully sign in to your Microsoft account? If you have not logged into your account for more than two years and it has been closed due to inactivity, you will not be able to use the Account Recovery Form to recover your account. Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account? If you do have the 2FA active, are you able to access the second factor of authentication? Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

The Account Recovery Form requires adequate information to prove that you are the owner of the account. The Account Recovery Process can be a time consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process. You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft.

I had just got my xbox and was connecting it to xbox live. it has some parent email and i have to type that in whenever i want. it also has a weird password, i can change that. Is there i way i could just get rid of the parent email and change the email
its tied with to an email that i use? what i mean is can i change the email from the email on that gamertag to the email tied to this gamertag

You can contact xbox support and they can probably verify you and unlock the parental controls. The email is probably still existing since xbox would have to change the xbox account email address. You can see who the email account is under by going to account,
then to account security. You can change the email once you can get/ replace the email/password. If the email is truely gone, then you must contact microsoft/xbox support and get them to verify you're account and change the email address. I hope this helped

Yes, you can change the primary alias of your Microsft account which is where your Xbox profile is linked.

There are just some reminders from Microsoft themselves: "Warning When removing an email alias that’s connected to a Microsoft domain (such as @Outlook.com, @Live.com, or @Hotmail.com), that email is completely deleted from our systems and can’t be used to send or receive emails. It won’t be available for use again as an alias on another account. Microsoft doesn’t recycle email addresses, so it can’t be reclaimed at a future time."

Make sure to set a Microsoft account as an alias first before making any changes because that may cause deletion of your Microsoft account along with the Xbox profile.
