can i cancel a subscription before the payment has been authorized on my bank account?

I believe this is happening because you need to turn off the recurring billing. The system might have automatically got pre-charge you . If you turn off the recurring billing that will be removed. Please try this option and let us know.

Chances are, somebody has access to that account and is using it to purchase the subscription. You should contact your bank and cancel payments that way. Your bank should be able to stop unauthorised payments.

i have the exact same issue but mine was cancelled on launch day, called microsoft support and they claimed my bank didn’t authorize the payment so i contacted my bank who replied saying that haven’t declined authorization for any payments so will be contacting
again tonight.

Hello and thank you so much. I thought that I had set up a direct debit authority, but it was an Auto payment. Hence - I was sending money every month for a closed XBOX Premium Subscription.

I can see all the payment into and including confirmation of the closed XBOX premium account.

I cannot see all the payment made in the past 12 months @ 19.95 NZD on my Amex statement. They payments do include the correct account.

I only have one account and that all looks fine,

Not to be funny but I cant see how this has not happened before. I do not think Microsoft cater for a payment made after a sub cancelation.

If you are unable to access the account to manage the subscription, then your only option is to have the bank stop all payments to Microsoft. There is no other way. Either log in to cancel the subscription or have the bank stop the payments. That's it.
