Can I bypass the 12 months need to unlink my Xbox account

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not manage the link system, which is the responsibility of the respective company, in this case Activision. All you can do is submit a support ticket here:

That said, coming from someone who personally had the same problem in the past, they won't let you disengage again before the 12 months are up. Unfortunately, they don't make any exceptions.

once an account is linked to the activision cod account it cannot be changed for 12 months, you can only unlink via your cod account over at activision as microsoft have no access and cannot even see this info.

activision made the account changes lock in for 12 months each time to stop abuse of the system.

once the 12 months has passed then you can unlink the xbox account from the cod account, activision support will not override this lockout period either, there is absolutely nothing microsoft can do in regards to the cod account linking.

just be warned, epic can be unlinked but only relinked to the same microsoft/xbox account, you cannot link to another account, they stopped this a few years ago.

activision can be unlinked and relinked with another account once per 12 months.

we all read your post and microsoft simply cannot make a de link button, it would mean they need access to ea servers to perform the unlink which ea will never allow. just be thankful you can unlink ea accounts with ea unlike others, once an epic account is linked it cannot be changed (ever). activision accounts can only be unlinked once per 12 months period, and ubisoft also is restricted.

you can only do this via activision account settings, but you can only link and unlink once per 12 month period.
