can i buy game pass with existing funds

Surly there must be some form of refund policy available.. I paid money from my account into an account that I can't use properly.. I tried to order a gift card from that account but you can't use existing funds..! I tried to buy and gift v bucks and other credits for games he would use. But again can't use existing credit... We have game pass so won't be spending any extra on games .. if I close that account where do the funds go.. some one has to be able to help...

An Xbox gift card adds funds to your account so you can buy content like games, etc. Gift cards do not include Gold/Game Pass, although you can use them to by Gold/Game Pass if you also add a credit card/paypal to your account. There are separate prepaid
cards for Gold/Game Pass.

You can purchase the subscription with the funds from the gift card if you also have a credit card or Paypal on file. Since it starts a recurring subscription, the system has to make sure you are able to male the following payment even if you plan on turning
off auto-renewal.

Gold is included only if you're buying Game Pass Ultimate. Regular Game Pass does not include Gold. Gold will work on the 360 whether you buy it on its own or through Game Pass Ultimate.

Game Pass is a subscription Service and so needs a payment card for future payments, regardless of whether you plan to continue it or not.

Only alternative is to buy a Game Pass code or card from a 3rd party website/shop as you won't need the continuing funding source

You need to buy the game or have game pass ultimate to play it. Gold no longer exists, and was only for allowing. multiplayer.
