Can I Buy a Username?

Hello,

I was wondering if someone wanted a different username but someone else had that username, if it can be brought. For example, if someone wanted the username "Yellow" and that username was taken, could they buy it of the other person. I was wi derint this as it isnt buying an account its buying a username which is different.

No. Buying/selling gamertags is not allowed.

Also you can change your username for free for one time only. and after that you have to buy it and it cost about 10.00 dollar.

You have to sign in with the correct Email that is connected with that Gamertag.

Yes and it came up with thoughtlion3381. How else could i find my username or find out what email its under? Everything is under that name

Sadly, that won't be possible.

According to the new Gamer Tag FAQ, this was done to secure the digits for the suffix if needed:

"We require at least 3 characters to auto-assign you a suffix and make sure that everybody has an equal chance to have a name they can be proud of.

Many older games allowed 16 characters for displaying gamertags.

We reserve three of those characters for the suffix and one for the # symbol, leaving 12 characters for Gamertags."
