Can I burn a DVD to my XBX 360 HARD DRIVE?

Nope copying dvds isnt legal

These 'burns' are not what you think they are. They can occur if the disc comes into physical contact with the laser diode. It usually leaves a circle, it looks like a burn, but it isn't.

Any optical drive on any device can have this issue, the elite will be no different. I've seen it happen on DVD and Blu-ray players too.

Install your 360 games to a hard drive. That way the disc will only spin when you first insert it. This will reduce this problem from happening.

"I burned a lot of video files to DVDs" Can mean Burning Video Files into DVD Format too, as many Burn Software does... The OP has Already stated, that "Current Disc" is greyed out... So that means, that the Video's files are in the wrong format or it is
a DVD encoded disc & it is run from the Dashboard, where you press A to start a game that's in the drive etc...

It's not a laser burn. The term 'laser burn is a misnomer. The Xbox 360's DVD laser isn't powerful enough to burn a disc. What actually happens is that your game disc comes into physical contact with the DVD lens, it's the lens that creates a perfect
circle scratch on your game disc.

There are only two ways this can happen. The most common time is when the console is moved or somehow knocked, when the game is being read. The other is a faulty Xbox DVD drive.

You could try taking your game to a console software retailer, they usually have disc cleaning machines that can remove scratches. This may fix your disc. Or you could borrow your fiends copy of the game, install it your hard drive, then try using your disc
to launch it. Other than that EA do a disc replacement programme. I'm not sure of the link because the program varies from region to region.
