Can I add my gamer profile to my Microsoft account?

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. You can add the email you want on your main account as a secondary email. If you delete the account all is gone. There is no way to just remove the gamer tag unless you pay to have it changed. Here are

We recommend just add the email you want as a secondary email to your main account.

Unfortunately that’s not possible, I mean. Your Xbox profile is linked to the whole Microsoft account

You can add and remove email addresses (known as aliases) but the Xbox profile itself can be deleted only if you close the whole Microsoft account
(But if you do that this is going to delete all your purchases and basically everything)

to remove that gamer profile from that Microsoft account, you will need to move that gamer profile to a different Microsoft account, you can do this via the xbox console. You will first need to download that profile onto the console to be able to move it.
But after a profile is downloaded it will take 30 days before it can be moved to a different Microsoft account (this is a security measure)

After that you can move that account to a different Microsoft account to free up the Microsoft account you want to use for your gamer profile and then you can move your gamer profile to your Microsoft account.
