    Can I add friends from Windows PC to my Xbox account? We want to Cross Platform Play


    So i am trying to play this game with my son, he's on xbox and I'm on PC (different accounts) and Ican't find him when looking for friends to add and can't find my username when looking for friends on Xbox, it only gives me a list of friends on Xbox but
    I only bought an xbox because supposedly we should be able to crossplay?

    Hey there :) normally is possible to add friends wherever you want, the account is a microsoft account...

    So it's not related to pc or console only ;)

    Hello Rosariaodf,

    To add Friends thru xbox press the xbox button to bring up the guide. Tab over to the Friends tab and at the bottom will be a “Find Someone”. Enter your PC xbox gamertag, must match exactly, select the profile and add friend.

    To add a friend using Gamebar on Pc here is a link that gives you the steps to do so.

    Can we have a little more information? What game are you trying to cross-play with your friend? Also, are you trying to add them as a friend through the Xbox app? or through the actual game?

    Fortnite cross platform

    cross platform will automatically happen as soon as a PC player joins you.

    In the EPIC game launcher on PC you van add friends. Those friends will appear as online in your game on Xbox.

    From there you can create a cross platform party.
    This is not the case every time there is a message saying that cross platform needs to be enabled. And the option is not available on the child account
