    Can I Add a PC Game Installed from a Disc to my Xbox PC Games Library


    Hey all,

    I've been tempted to buy the Limited Run Games PC Big Box edition of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, (https://limitedrungames.com/product...pc-big-box-edition-pc?variant=41148897427509) but I have concerns with how playing online would work. The game doesn't have cross-play, and I know friends that had issues getting the Steam and Windows Store games to allow online play together. Being that this would be installed off USB or a disc, would I be able to add that to the Xbox PC games library, and launch it within the "Xbox Environment" to be able to play with friends on Xbox?

    i couldn’t tell you which ecosystem that copy is tied to. You’d have to ask Limited Run

    You cannot claim games not bought on Xbox or the Windows store that you purchased elsewhere

    the game will run from disc and is independent meaning it will not be attached to any store, you will not be able to add this to the xbox app.

    Windows store can play with Xbox. If crossplay is not enabled on the title it won’t work with other platforms or stores

    But I would be buying a physical version of the game; I wouldn't be buying through the Windows Store. Is that an issue? Can I add outside games to my Windows "My Games" library?

    I understand, but you can add pc games to steam library even if purchased from xbox game pass. Steam is a game launcher as well.
