Can hear friends in lobby, but once in party chat can't hear them

a mic and you are ignoring them,but really you're in party chat. They should find a fix,so when in party your mic don't show in lobbies. Some might "Well stay in game chat.",but it's a gamer's choice to join a party with friends so they can hear each other
better or be in game chat. It's just disturbing it would appear you are in a lobby with a mic if you aren't,because when in a party,it's almost as if you have no mic in the lobby or match area. You can't hear them,they can't hear you,so why should the icon
falsely indicate that about you,while you are in a party?

What do you think? Anyone else noticed that or find it disturbing when in a party?

[/quote]Some games ( I think homefront is one of them) have a different Icon for party chat.

Hey there!

Perhaps check out the volume settings?

Press Xbox button > Speaker on bottom right, and then play with the volume settings,

I believe its the same when you go to the party, audio options.

Let me know if this helps?
Also if your headphones have a volume feature, sure to see if that's all the way up,

also if you have the "In game - party" feature on the headset, sure to hit the in between so you can hear both. (My razor has that feature and it's easy to forget lol)

It might be the headset chat mixer, the issue.

Hit the xbox button on the controller > drag right to settings > click on audio > it will open three options for you to adjust the volume.

The first leave at max.

The second is "headset chat mixer" leave in the middle to hear both console and chat sounds or all the way to the left on the control symbol to hear only console sounds (music, games, etc.).

And the third, at your discretion, is the microphone volume.

Thanks for the insight. I've tried them all and none have helped. It's just the weirdest thing. I can hear them completely fine in game chat, but not for party chat :-(
