Can guests using their own profile download free games if the owner is sharing xbox live gold

If you are talking about the free games with gold the answer is no only the account that has a paid (not a trial) gold subscription can download the free games with gold.

And he has his own seperate profile which uses my Gold so I'd be using my profile on my xbox and he could have my profile on his xbox but he would be using his own account but getting free xbox live gold because gold is shared through accounts if wanted
and he could download my games. This would work right?

Basically, on your home xbox if you have live gold others that use that same xbox using there logins can use it too without logging you in. With game pass you can share but I have found some xboxes depending on the model function different with game pass
sharing. For example on my original xbox everyone can use game pass as long as the game is already downloaded and they can play as themselves. However they can not down load games unless I am logged in and it is done under my profile. On the 1s xbox it doesn't
work that way. You can do it under your own profile without logging in the main user.

If you have another xbox that you are not using as the home xbox gamepass and live gold still work you just have to log in the profile that owns the subscriptions first then change to your own profile leaving the owner of the subscriptions logged in. If
they try to log in on another xbox it will kick them off the one you logged them into and your game on gamepass pretty much stops xbox live gold on the non home xbox as well

It basically shares like a Gold subscription. The owner can share it with you by making your console his home xbox or actually logging into your console. Once that is done you can share is Gold subscription and the games he has downloaded (including
the ones downloaded using gamepass).

Today, i set up game share with a friend. I logged out of his account and logged back into mine so i could install a game. When i tried to install any game it said that had to connect to xbox live. How do i fix this? Internet was connected and i
already have xbox gamepass on my account.

You dont you MUST INSTALL from his profile

For gamepass games why are you using his gamepass when you are using yours

Game share doesnt allow you to have a free license

Only the profile that owns the games can download it

Only gamepass or games with gold games be shared via the gold share

But any regularly purchased games must be installed from the purchasing profile

Any profile on home console can use the games but not install them
