    Can anyone tell me how to fix the Microsoft account bug on Xbox Series S


    I currently play on a Xbox Series S. I’ve never had an issue with Minecraft until a couple of days ago. I am unable to join any realm, server, or friends game due to Minecraft saying my Microsoft Account isn’t set up correctly. Not only have I never changed those settings but I went through the process of overlooking every possible aspect of my Microsoft account to find that nothing would be causing this issue. I’ve tried changing my Microsoft Account settings to see if that would refresh the system, I’ve tried hard resetting my Xbox, I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft. Currently I can’t find a single troubleshooting video, feed, or tutorial to fix this bug. Does anyone know what is wrong or how to troubleshoot?

    Yes, every other online game works just fine. COD, Fallout 76, both free to play and paid games work. The only game I seem to be having the issue with is Minecraft

    If your settings are setup correctly it may mean that the issue is with the subscription. To play an online multiplayer game we need to have an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    You can check it here:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions..

    Good news, it randomly fixed itself tonight when I hopped on. Don’t know what was wrong but it seems to have worked itself out 😂 Thanks for trying to help me figure it out Francia!
