Can anyone help with a mic problem?

I’ve been using the Xbox headset that comes with the Xbox without any issues for over a year and up until a week or so ago now. The icon on the headset glows and goes away like normal if I mute/unmute and the volume button works like normal. When I adjust the volume from my headset the mic icon shows up on my screen but nothing goes through on my end. I hear people perfectly fine through it but my voice does not come through at all no matter what settings I mess with.

It is the exact same with 3 other pairs of headphones I’ve tried plugging into the headphone jack with this relatively new controller. People in a party just hear a crazy buzzing when I use headphones specifically. But still no one can hear my voice on the other end.

I’ve looked up YouTube videos for the optimal settings within Xbox and talked with their customer support and still no luck.

Sorry this is long but if anyone can offer any advice that’d be cool if not I’ll probably just buy a new headset and cross my fingers lmao
