CAN ANYONE HELP! Sent in Taco Bell Platinum Xbox One X for repair and got a base model X back!

This is just nuts to me. Telling me I would get my console back and then not getting it back. It was a promo item but I purchased for 800 dollars. Just feel lied to and I would have never sent in if I didnt think I would get it back. Very Shady and
kinda makes me wonder if someone stole it.

This happened to me with my Call of Duty MW3 edition of the Xbox 360, I was never really able to get it back because they said that the repair they needed to do excedeed the price point or whatever. Meaning it was cheaper for them to send me a new one rather
than fix it.

Yes it was a shock. I specifically asked if I would get it back and was told yes. Really feeling like someone stole it. Also kind of odd it disappeared off of my registered consoles so quickly too.

Microsoft Device Service Terms and Conditions, section 14 {Special Edition Microsoft Devices}:

If you send a special edition Microsoft Device to Microsoft for Service, Microsoft will use commercially reasonable efforts to return the same or similar special edition Microsoft Device to you; this will depend on its availability at the time
of Service (special editions may no longer be available). Microsoft reserves the right to replace the Microsoft Device with a similar or better Microsoft Device.

In this case, it appears that the Service Center was unable to repair your special edition Xbox One X Taco Bell console, and subsequently it was replaced with a working Xbox One X console instead. I can assure you that
our Service Center makes every effort to repair any console that they receive prior to making the decision to replace the console entirely. In the process of replacing the console, it is standard practice to update the console registration as well as
part of the service. We apologize for any disappointment you've experienced as a result of this, or any misunderstanding of the policy when you requested the repair be done, especially since there is no concrete guarantee that you would receive
the exact same console back during a service request.

As we here on the forums lack the necessary tools to directly assist in situations such as these, and as there are no further resolutions, we'll be locking the thread at this time. In future, if you have any further questions

Really? I mean it is good they replaced it but I'm surprised they couldn't get the cover/design for it back on it. That would have left me a little
