Can a xbox one bluetooth controller connect to more then one PC?

Discus and support Can a xbox one bluetooth controller connect to more then one PC? in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I'm wondering if a single controller can be paired with two pc's I know only one controller can pair via bluetooth per pc unless the usb dongle is used...     Can a xbox one bluetooth controller connect to more then one PC?


    I'm wondering if a single controller can be paired with two pc's I know only one controller can pair via bluetooth per pc unless the usb dongle is used but I would like to use one controller between two pc's.

    Is the controller capable of pairing with multiple devices like a bluetooth headset for your cell phone or do you have to pair it every time depending on which pc you want to use it with?

    Are you talking about connecting controllers to the PC?

    With a USB bluetooth adapter, you can connect one Xbox One S controller to the computer. Bluetooth connectivity requires your computer to be running Windows 10 (with the Anniversary update).

    Yes, absolutely.

    In case there's confusion, the Bluetooth part in the controller is only for connecting it to a Windows PC. Bluetooth is not used on the Xbox One S, as the console does not actually have a Bluetooth chip.

    The Xbox One S controller still connects to the console with the same wireless protocol as any standard Xbox One controller.

    It even works vice versa! You can also connect a regular Xbox One controller to an Xbox One S.

    As Geth mentioned, Bluetooth connection to a Windows 10 device will work just fine for Xbox One controllers, depending on the model of the controller. Certain older Xbox One controllers do not support Bluetooth connections.

    after latest firmware update the wireless xbox controlled is no more correctly recognized on PC if connected using bluetooth

    it's not a problem of the controller, it can be paired with the PC with no issue, unfortunately with the latest firmware is no more recognized as an Xbox controller when connectd using bluetooth

    In the joypad configuration panel when is wired connect it is reported as a "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)", when connected using bluetooth is reported as a generic "6-axis 16-buttons game pad with hat switch"

    With previous firmware version it was reported as "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)" for both (even when connected with bluetooth)

    It's a firmware bug
