Can a gamertag be recovered

I have multiple Xbox's in my house, and use a USB stick to move my gamertag between consoles all the time. It works brilliantly.



It's quicker than recovering the gamertag. You can play straight away rather than waiting for it to recover.



It's safer than recovering the gamertag. Your gamertag will always be with you, rather than someone else's Xbox, who thinks it would be "funny" to change your Avatar colour to blue.



It's more reliable than recovering the gamertag. If there is a connection problem when recovering the gamertag, you can corrupt the gamertag.

You can recover this account. Use the "Recover Gamertag" feature on Xbox Live.

Hey JGib123 - What is the exact error message you get when you try to recover your XBOX Live Gamertag? And is this gamertag the same one that you are using that your posting with on the forum "JGib123" - just to make sure that you tried to use the same
e-mail/password when recovering the account.

You can try to recover your gamertag.

Sign out of the Xbox and then recover it.

I'm not sure but . recovering the gamertag to another console might work, I think the gamertag can only be on one console at the same time, and you need the password to recover it.
