Call of Duty WWII Black Screen?

I've tried to play CoD WWII from disc and although it starts up and I get the initial title screen, it then goes black and I cannot access anything, The music is still playing in the background but I cannot navigate away from the screen and can't get back
to the console home screen? I need to eject the disk so that I can manage to do anything. I was away over the Christmas period for 2 weeks and before I left, everything was working fine. I have installed another game on to the console and have managed to
play this no problem.

I am in the process of reinstalling to see if that works but wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem and found a workaround?

On a different note, I have noticed that I am unable to return to my console home screen once navigated away from it, is this a glitch since the latest update?

Just like the most recent Call of Duty games, this year's Call of Duty: WWII will offer microtransactions. Activision will offer "Call of Duty Points" for players to buy with
real money, and these will come to Call of Duty: WWII on November 21.

This is later than previously announced. Activision said it delayed the launch of microtransactions in Call of Duty: WWII so it could fix the launch
issues first. That's a commendable action, given that delaying the microtransaction system means a delay in the revenue Activision will receive from them.

Everyone who bought the Call of Duty: WWII digital edition gets an allotment of 1,100 Call of Duty Points that will unlock on November 21. We don't know exactly what you can buy with Call of Duty Points, but in last year's Call
of Duty: Infinite Warfare, you could spend Call of Duty Points on this like supply drops for multiplayer and Zombies crates.

Call of Duty Points will presumably be made available to buy in Call of Duty: WWII through the game's "Store" tab. Right now, it is populated only with the Call of Duty: WWII Season Pass, which includes four packs coming in 2018 that contain new content
for multiplayer, Zombies, and the new War mode.

Unfortunately, Call of Duty WWII is only a 2 player split screen title.

Call of Duty 2 was a great game. We use to play 4 player split screen. Bottom two scores give up their controller.

I think we are over due for a WWII game. When I got into gaming it seems like the older gamers were tired of WWII...but it has been 6 going on 7 call of duties since the WWII era. I imagine most of todays gamers haven't even played a WWII multi-player.
It's all lazer beams, jet packs and special abilities.

This thread is more than a year old. Obviously it didn't happen. If Call of Duty should return to WWII, I'd probably play it again. Last COD purchase was the first Black Ops.
