    Call Of Duty Warzone wont play on disc. Asks me to purchase it digitally


    I have the XBOX SERIES X. Plenty of storage available. Plays any games digital or disk fine. Except one. COD Warzone. I have it installed. I open it. And it says to purchase the game though the disc is in. And its read it. Ive hard reset the console 3 times as well and nothing has changed. Ive uninstalled and re installed it too.

    If you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you answer the following questions:

    • Is your console enrolled in the Insider program?

    • May I ask what kind of reset you did on your console?

    • Do you have any external storage units plugged into your console?

    • If possible, would you mind sharing a picture of the screen where you are being asked to purchase the game again?

    It's odd that this is happening with all call of duty discs, Mark. Can you please try playing the Warzone which is a digital game that does not require disc for us to test if it's an issue with the game or the disc drive?

    Call of Duty Warzone is free to download and play with an active Xbox Live subscription. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare campaign is not.
