Call of Duty: Vanguard White Flashes and Framerate Drops

Last night, when I started Vanguard, I was met with a white flashing scene at the menu - after the white flashes, the scene behind the menu was blurry, and when I loaded into a game, it was still somewhat blurry and ran at a much slower speed than normal. I reinstalled and the game worked fine, but the same problem began this morning.

I've tried using a different port for my hard drive, I've tried moving the game to my internal instead of my external hard drive, I've reset my Xbox (kept games and such), restarted it by holding the power button ~10 times, and I'm not sure what else to do short of reinstalling - which worked last time, but only temporarily. I'd like a more permanent fix.

This issue does not occur with other games - not even with other call of duty games. Any suggestions? Sorry if I've left out any information.

Hi,

I thought I made clear in my post that I've done all of these things. Reinstalling the game (as it did yesterday) I'm sure would fix the immediate issue of, "I can't play," but would leave unresolved the problem that caused my game to malfunction in the first place.

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

If that doesn't help, reinstall the game.

This appears to be an in-game bug since it's only happening with Vanguard. I'll suggest you reach out to Activision support page for assistance.

HDMI is hardly noticable if at all unless the resolution is 1080p to begin with, and since there are like 2 games in total of xbox 360 that are that resolution, almost every game is a weird 600p upscaled to 720p.

also, I tried it I have HDMI and component for 360, still use component.

HDMI doesn't increase image quality much because it's still only upscaled 720p, but frame rates happen but it should hardly be noticeable if at all.
